Estonian Academy of Music and Theater elects Ivari Ilja as rector

Print versionAn electoral college at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater on Wednesday elected Ivari Ilja as rector of the academy, reports LETA/BNS.

Ilja was elected to the office with 30 votes in the first round of voting. A candidate was required to collect 28 votes to pass in the first round.
The other candidates in the election were Kerri Kotta, Toomas Vavilov and Marje Lohuaru.
The rector's term of office runs for five years starting Sept. 1, 2017.
