Ukraine presenting Lithuanian university study possibilities

Jurgita Jacovskiene, communications chief at the Education Exchanges Support Foundation, says the presentation of the possibilities in Ukraine is expected to attract gifted students to Lithuania. The Education and Science Ministry has envisaged 40 scholarships for Ukrainians for master-degree studies in Lithuania in the next academic year.
"For the second consecutive year, the program envisages a very big quota for Ukraine. (…) These studies are fully covered – they are granted a discount of the tuition fee and a scholarship," told Jacovskiene.
Under the program, Lithuania will grant a total of 70 state scholarship for applicants from Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Japan, China, South Korea, Israel or foreigners of Lithuanian origin. The application deadline is May 10.
More than 4,800 foreigners currently attend universities and colleges in Lithuania, including 344 citizens of Ukraine.
