Margit Sutrop to challenge incumbent Volli Kalm in UT rectoral vote

Print versionThe committee for the election of the rector of the University of Tartu on Monday registered incumbent rector Volli Kalm and Professor Margit Sutrop as candidates for the election to be held at the end of next month.

The candidates are scheduled to hold a public dispute on March 9 and the election will start at noon on March 30.
Kalm has been rector of the university since July 1, 2012. Sutrop is dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at the university and head of the university's interdisciplinary Center for Ethics.
