EU giving Estonian Academy of Security Sciences EUR 13.5 mln the campus

A 15.9-million-euro project to overhaul the complex of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences in Tallinn will get EU funding in the amount of 13.5 million euros, informs LETA/BNS.

As part of the overhaul the existing administrative building, the study building and the sports building will be replaced with a single building that includes a sports hall and an indoor shooting range, it appears from the draft of an order by which the government will approve the list of projects getting EU funding.

 

The new building will have a net floor area of 10,000 square meters at most. The area of all the buildings to be demolished is approximately 13,900 square meters combined.

 

In addition to auditoriums and other rooms for study the new complex will feature a unit for the use of virtual simulation devices, rooms for chemical and fire safety labs, a new fire simulation lab and a new prison simulation facility.

 

The new complex will also have a canteen with a capacity of 100 seats.

 

The time-limit for the implementation of the project is second half of 2018.
