Vilnius University made it to the top 50, ranking in the 32nd place together with another Lithuanian University – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, ranking slightly lower – the 47th.

Method of ranking the universities consisted of academic and employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, staff with PhD, presence of international students and other indicators.

VU received high 30th ranking position with the score 76.4 for its Academic Reputation, the 35st position for the Employer's Reputation. VU was awarded the highest 26th ranking for Citations per Paper with the score of 90.9.

Though indicators such as International Students and Staff with PhD still need additional attention of VU in order to increase competitiveness in future.

The other two Lithuanian Universities made the ranking to the Top 100: Kaunas University of Technology is sharing 61-70th and Vytautas Magnus University – 81-90th places.
