A testing ground for hard domestic waste is offered for sale. Main areas of developing this object are: sorting, burning and production of biogas out of waste. A sorting line allows to extract metal, glass, plastic and biomass out of waste. There is a strong demand for all kinds of utility waste. Total sum of investment necessary to construct a building and purchase a sorting line would be around 1 800 000 EUR. Biomass extracted by the sorting line, while degrading in the special machine, is making gas by burning which it is possible to produce electricity and then sell it to Latvenergo. A project on construction of the station to produce 1,5 megawatt of electricity is to be implemented in two stages.

Total sum of investment necessary to purchase a machine will be 4 000 000 EUR (1^st stage – 1 200 000 EUR, 2^nd stage – 2 800 000 EUR), 1^st stage is to be co-financed by the Ministry of the Environment. When processing sorted polymers a heating gas oil is produced. Total sum of investment necessary to build a heating gas oil station will be 3 500 000 EUR. All the projects can obtain EU funding – according to the approved plan of the testing ground it is possible to receive 6 800 000 EUR.
