Book about Riga receives award

The book written by A. Juozaitis was published by Alma Littera this year.
The books tells about the history, politics, culture and daily life of Latvia, informs LETA/ELTA.
A. Juozaitis has lived in Latvia for the past few years. Based on his own experience and historical documents, the author reveals the identity of Latvians, its neighbors, and Riga, its capital.
The Baltic Assembly also honored two other creative minds. Latvian conductor Andris Nelson was nominated for spreading around the world awareness of the name of Latvia and the Baltic countries.
The Baltic Assembly recognized Estonian professor Andres Ilmar Kasekamp for a study entitled "History of the Baltic States".
Awards will be presented on November 23 in Tallinn during the session of the Baltic Assembly.
