"In 2012 we have achieved record results in economy. Trade volume between the countries reached up to USD 2.3 million, Lithuanian and Belarusian investment together accounted for the amount of USD 273 million. If such dynamics remains this year as well, these indicators will be definitely exceeded. I believe we can surely say that Lithuania and Belarus have reached the level of strategic partners", said the ambassador during the press conference held by ELTA on Wednesday.

Drazhin announced the second regional Lithuanian and Belarusian partnership forum that will take place on May 28-29 in towns of Alytus and Druskininkai. The issues of the forum will be bilateral cooperation between local and regional authorities, the exchange of information and good practice, local economic development, tourism promotion and agricultural development.

"I think it is one more step towards the mutual success", said the ambassador.
