New Lithuanian visa center opens in Russian city of Smolensk

Print version A new Lithuanian visa center that will accept documents for Schengen visas was opened in the Russian city of Smolensk on Thursday, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said LETA/BNS.

This will make it simpler for people living in Smolensk to obtain a visa to visit Lithuania for tourism, business or other purposes as they will not have to go to Moscow for a visa, it said.
The center is managed by VFS Global, an outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide. Lithuania has opened 17 visa centers in Russia in partnership with the company.
