Naryshkin: Russia desires normal relations with Baltic States

Print versionFeatured last night on the LTV1 news magazine "De facto" was Russian State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, who declared that Russia wants "normal relations with the Baltic States, and to revive the dialogue", reports LETA.

In the interview, Naryshkin acknowledged that the Baltic States are sovereign and independent countries. Speaking about relations with Latvia specifically, the Duma leader underlined that Latvia must solve the "non-citizen issue" and bring a halt to "glorifying Nazism."
Asked what steps Moscow would be ready to take, Naryshkin responded that it is "always ready for dialogue."
The Duma speaker also declared that there is no warfare on Russia's part in the Ukraine, and criticized the fact that voting rights have been denied Russia at the CoE parliamentary assembly.
