Usakovs met with Chairman of Russian State Duma in Moscow

Print versionRiga Mayor Nils Usakovs (Harmony) was on a visit in Moscow yesterday where he met with Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergey Naryshkin, Usakovs confirmed to LETA.

"The crisis in the relations between the European Union and Russia will end eventually, and despite any crises, we all need to have good relations between Latvia and Russia," Usakovs said.
He indicated that the discussion was very productive.
Usakovs added that he established excellent relations with Naryshkin during his time as Saeima MP and while he headed the Latvia-Russia Inter-parliamentary Cooperation Group.
