Importance of Eastern Partnership initiative in Latvia and Romania's foreign policy emphasized

Print versionOn Friday, Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrejs Pildegovics met with the Romanian Ambassador to Latvia Dan Adrian Balanescu, during which the two sides discussed the importance of the Eastern Partnership initiative in the foreign policies of both countries, LETA was informed by the Foreign Ministry's press and information department.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed bilateral relations, especially possibilities in deepening economic relations.
The two sides also discussed the preparation process for Latvia's EU presidency in the first half of 2015, including Latvia's priorities.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain an active political dialogue and work on further developing bilateral relations.
Ambassador Balanescu resides in Vilnius.
