Rinkevics and Cowley reviewed Latvia-UK bilateral relations overall, and key issues at hand for the EU and NATO.

Words of praise were exchanged for bilateral relations and the frequent visits, particularly singling out David Cameron's February visit to Latvia.

Rinkevics accented Latvia's interest in further developing economic relations, and Cowley responded by vowing to continue her efforts in this regard.

The foreign affairs leader also expressed gratitude to the UK for its support at the Chicago Summit regarding continued policing of Baltic air space. The diplomat said that she held Latvia's input in the mission in Afghanistan in high esteem, underling solidarity in the partner relations.

Rinkevics also outlined Latvia's foreign policy priorities, with joining the euro nations in 2014 topping the list.
