Latvia to increase contributions to HELCOM budget as of 2013

Print versionYesterday, the government supported the Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry's proposal to increase Latvia's annual contributions to the Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission's (HELCOM) budget as of 2013.

Latvia's contributions to the HELCOM budget will be raised by 1.25 percent in 2013 and by additional 1.75 to 2 percent each year to fulfill the requirements of the Helsinki Convention in the 2015/2016 financial year.
This year, Latvia's contributions to the HELCOM budget were set at LVL 96,370, reported LETA.
