Azubalis and Czech ambassador discuss EU and bilateral agenda issues

Close political relations between Lithuania and Czech Republic are extremely important in trying to overcome the consequences of economic hardship, and the cooperation of Visegrad and Baltic countries is vital in considering the issues regarding the implementation of the EU institutional reform, Lithuanian head of diplomacy pointed out at the meeting with Czech ambassador.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis received Czech Ambassador Radek Pech, who started his work in Lithuania this year. At the meeting, Azubalis and Peck discussed the topical EU and bilateral agenda issues, reported BC Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

 

Audronius Azubalis was satisfied with the active cooperation between Lithuanian and the Czech Republic in the areas of energy security, EU Eastern Partnership and the assessment of totalitarian regime on the EU level, informs the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

Foreign Minister Azubalis stressed the importance of further cooperation in addressing the issues of the implementation of EU institutional reform and expressed hope that the cooperation between Visegrad and Baltic countries will further develop actively.

 

The head of Lithuanian diplomacy pointed out that close relations between Lithuania and Czech Republic are vital in trying to overcome the consequences of economic crisis.
