Estonian Let’s Do It voluntary nature cleaning action is finding followers from everywhere in the world and 30 volunteers from seven countries will arrive this weekend to Estonia to exchange experiences about the event, writes LETA referring the National Broadcasting.

The Let’s Do It Media Manager Tiina Urm said in ETV’s morning program that after the cleaning day in Estonia two years ago, the organizers started telling about to foreigners. They also made a short video and posted it on Youtube. “New channels work well, even how, every week letters arrive from ordinary people from different countries who think that event was inspiring,” said Urm.

“When we started we didn’t know exactly how to do it, the idea seemed necessary. It seems that time for such undertakings has arrived elsewhere too,” said Urm.

So, big cleaning actions are planned in Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Latvia and a pilot event takes place already this Saturday in India’s New Delhi.

While the first Let’s Do It campaign in 2008 focused on cleaning Estonian nature from garbage and the second one in 2009 on the “My Estonia” idea-generation campaign, this year the organizing team of the initiative says that every person or organization will be free to do some cleaning, building, planting, beatifying, thinking or whatever they need most, together with others.
