42.8% of voters in Riga ready to vote for Harmony party
The poll suggest that three more parties would win seats at
the Riga City Council – 8.1% respondents would vote for the list of the Latvian
Alliance of Regions and For Latvia's Development with Martins Bondars as the mayor’s candidate, 5.9% would vote for
the Union of Greens and Farmers with Armands
Krauze as the mayor, and 5.8% would vote for the National Alliance with Baiba Broka as the candidate for the
Riga mayor.
The poll conducted by Latvijas Fakti should that the Unity
would get just 3.1% of votes, KPV.LV party would get just 1.4%, and the New
Conservative Party would get also just 1.4%.
The situation might change as there is a large number of
people who have not yet decided on their vote – 23.3%.
The poll also shows that the number of supporters of
incumbent Riga Mayor Nils Usakovs
has dropped from 48.8% in March to 42.8% in May, while Bondars has managed to
increase the number of supporters from 2.9% in March to 8.1% in May. The number
of supporters of Greens/Farmers has dropped from 7.5% in March to 5.9 %, while
the number of National Alliance’s supporters has not changed.
