Naudins, Kols and Broka mentioned as possible Riga mayor candidates from National Alliance

Broka headlined the list of candidates from the National Alliance ticket during the previous Riga City Council elections. She was elected into the Riga City Council, but the National Alliance remains in the opposition. Later, Broka was appointed justice minister in the Laimdota Straujuma (Unity) government, but resigned after she was not granted access to classified information and returned to work in the City Council.
MP Naudins also serves as the chairman of the Saeima's Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy Committee.
Meanwhile, Kols works on the Saeima's European Affairs Committee, as well as the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Naudins is the only candidate who has confirmed to LETA that he has been asked to consider becoming the party's Riga mayor candidate, while neither Broka nor Kols have answered their phones.
The party has not officially decided on who will top the party's ticket in the Riga elections.
