Birgitta Festival awaited in Estonia in August
The cultural Birgitta Festival will take place in Tallinn on August 11-20, its organizers announced LETA.
"Cultural Highlights in the Summer of Tallinn" – that is the moto of this event, which describes it in a very best way.
The event will be held in Saint Birgitta convent in Tallinn. Its opening is expected on August 11 with a ballet Carmina Burana and Trionfo di Afrodite of Mari National Opera and Ballet Theatre, on August 12, Cesare Pugni's ballet Esmeralda will be shown to the public, on the next day's evening Dmitri Shostakovich's opera The Nose will be presented to the audience, on August 14, visitors of the festival will enjoy ballets Il Tabarro and Gianni Schicchi of Moscow Chamber Musical Theater, Don Giovanni will be on stage on August 17 – 18, and the festival will be concluded by the Intergalactic Vocal Theatre's staging Voca People on August 19-20, 2012.
Birgitta Festival combines the dark charm of a medieval Pirita convent in Tallinn, Estonia with the latest in modern musical theatre in all its variety and richness.
