Chinese New Year carnival cost Tallinn 43,700 euros

Tallinn City Government has allocated 43,700 euros to cover the cost of the festivities related to the Chinese New Year that were held last Monday in the Kadriorg Park in Tallinn, the Estonian news portal BBN reported.
In comparison, a year ago the city
allocated about 78,000 euros for the festivities, writes LETA.
The show included the opening of a large dragon-shaped ice sculpture and a concert by Chinese performers.
The Chinese New Year, or the Chinese Spring, is celebrated to mark the end of the winter season. The date of the Chinese New Year is determined by the lunisolar calendar. This year, it was celebrated on January 23, 2012.
