Print versionEarly voting starts in Lithuania
On Wednesday, early voting and voting by post will begin in Silale-Silute and Vilnius-Salcininkai constituencies where members to Seimas will be elected, informs ELTA/LETA.
Those voters who are not be able to vote on the set election day, will be able to vote during early elections. Early elections will be held in Silute, Silale, Salcininkai and Vilnius district municipality premises on November 11-12 from 12 to 20 p.m.
Postal voting will also begin on Wednesday.
People who may not be able to attend an election in person, either through a physical disability or absence from the locality will be able to vote by post.
On November 13-14, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. voting at home will be held.
Only those people who are disabled, temporarily incapacitated due to illness, people of 70 years of age and older, who cannot come to the polling stations on the election day, can vote from home. They must submit a formal request to vote from home to the Central Election Commission.
