During a press conference yesterday, the head coach of the Latvian national men's ice hockey team Olegs Znaroks announced the final roster that will be participating in the upcoming Ice Hockey World Championships in Switzerland.

''Only Jekabs Redlihs is having minor health problems at the moment, which did not allow his to participate in practice yesterday,'' said Znaroks. ''We are still waiting for Oskars Bartulis, who may only join the team after the first group stage. On the other hand, Karlis Skrastins will arrive in Riga today.''

This year's Ice Hockey World Championship's in Switzerland will begin on April 24. Latvia is in the same group as the United States, Sweden and Austria.

The roster of the Latvian men's ice hockey team participating in the tournament is as follows: goalies – Edgars Masalskis (''Die Fuchse'' Germany), Sergejs Naumovs (Riga ''Dinamo''), Dmitrijs Zabotinskis (''Liepajas metalurgs'').
