A new website, "Famous Latvia" has been launched to promote Latvia as a tourism destination, as LETA learned from the creators of the Internet portal http://famouslatvia.com.

The new website provides information about the places and things in Latvia, which are unique on the international scale, for example, "Famous Latvia" includes information about the northernmost vineyard and Europe's widest waterfall, which are both located in Latvia, and other sites that the country has to offer to visitors.

Developers of the project "Famous Latvia" underline that their aim is to encourage enterprising people in Latvia to create new sites and tourist attractions that would be the largest, the highest, the widest, the smallest and the most famous in the world.
