Lithuania reports record daily spike of 138 new COVID-19 cases

Print versionLithuania reported 138 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, the country's record daily increase since its first registered case in February 2020, informs LETA/BNS.
This brings Lithuania's total count to 4,070, the Health Ministry said.
The country currently has 1,709 active cases and 2,253 recoveries.
Eighty-nine people have died of COVID-19 so far, and another 19 coronavirus-infected patients have died of other causes.
A total of 17,839 people are currently in isolation.
The country has since June 1 registered 255 cases of coronavirus infection contracted abroad.
A total of 744,174 tests for COVID-19 have been carried out in Lithuania so far, including 6,613 over the past 24 hours.
