Today, the 2020/2021 wolf hunting season begins in Latvia, during which, as in the previous hunting season, 280 wolves will be able to be hunted, writes LETA, according to the State Forest Service (SFS).

The amount of wolf hunting has been determined on the basis of the Hunting Law and the methodology of the Ministry of Agriculture for assessing the condition of game populations and determining the permissible hunting volume.

Wolves will be allowed to be hunted from July 15 until the specified hunting volume is reached, but no longer than March 31, 2021.
