More than 20 fighter jets and support planes from NATO member countries and Finland to participate in military exercise in Latvia
Allied Air Command's military exercise Ramstein Alloy will run June 29 through July 1 in Latvia, bringing together more than 20 fighter jets and support planes, the Defense Ministry's Press Department informed LETA.
The training is organized to improve command and control procedures, cooperation and interoperability of NATO members and partner states.
During the military exercise, airspace patrol procedures will be improved and cooperation between the Alliance and partner countries will be strengthened, the ministry explained.
Participating in the exercise will be more than twenty fighter jets and support aircraft from five NATO member countries and Finland. The exercise will be overseen by the Combined Air Operations Center in Udem, Germany, Air Control and Reporting Center in Lielvarde and Tallinn, as well as NATO Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft.
