The Latvian handball team concluded this year's European Men's Handball Championships with a 27:28 loss to Germany, writes LETA/BNS. 

Dainis Kristopans was the top goal scorer for Latvia with seven goals, followed by Nils Kreicbergs with six goals.

Latvia concluded the tournament in last place in its preliminary round group with three losses and failed to advance to the tournament's second group stage.

This was the first time that Latvia had qualified for the European Championships.
