Ostapenko knocked out of Cincinnati WTA

On Monday, Latvia's second best ranked lady tennis player Alona Ostapenko lost to Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva 2-6, 7-6, 3-6 in the opening round of the Cincinnati WTA Premier 5 series tennis tournament, informed LETA/BNS.

At the moment Ostapenko is ranked 75th in the WTA rankings, while Putintseva is ranked 42nd.

Ostapenko earned one WTA ranking point for competing in the Cincinnati tournament.
