The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center has issued a warning about extremely hot weather on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, informed LETA. 

The air temperature it expected to rise to +27..+32 degrees C today, while on Wednesday and Thursday it may rise even to +33..+34 degrees C.

For the first time this year, the center has issued the code orange heat alert. This is the highest-level heat warning in Latvia, as the red alert is only issued in cases of major floods, severe storms and devastating thunderstorms.

Also, thunderstorms can be expected with hail and storms in Latvia.
