On Thursday, President Valdas Adamkus will congratulate the winners of the Constitution Examination 2008 in the Presidential Palace.

The commission, which evaluated finalists" tests, was formed from lawyers, representatives of academic society and journalists. It selected three winners each in separate categories, reports ELTA.

In the category of self-government politicians, the winners are Audrone Garsvaite, teacher of history from Birzai, Audrius Jurgelevicius, teacher from Elektrenai, and pedagogue Vidmantas Pimpe from Utena.

The winners in the category of residents are Rima Aukstuolyte from Ukmerge, student of the Institute of International Relations and Political Science of Vilnius University, Roberta Grusyte from Sakiai, first-year student of the Faculty of History of Vilnius University, and Nerijus Vaitkus from Klaipeda. Vaitkus, author of one of the best essays, currently serves his sentence in a penitentiary.
