Rastorgujevs finishes 13th in Biathlon World Cup's spring event in Ruhpolding

Latvia's leading biathlete Andrejs Rastorgujevs finished 13th in Biathlon World Cup's 10km sprint in Germany's Ruhpolding on Thursday, reported LETA/BNS. 


This is Rastorgujevs' best result so far this season, and he could also participate in the mass start event on Sunday.


Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bo, with one penalty, placed first today, his brother Tarjei Bo shot clean to finish second, and Germany's Benedikt Doll was third with one penalty.


Rastorgujevs, too, had one penalty, and finished 51.9 seconds behind the winner.


Of the other Latvians, Alesksandrs Petrijuks placed 69th and Daumants Lusa finished 111th.


In the overall World Cup standings, Johannes Thingnes Bo is first with 602 points, Russia's Alexander Loginov is second with 452 points, and Martin Fourcade of France is third with 385 points. Rastorgujevs is 35th with 100 points.
