Latvian forward Lauris Darzins will replace Linus Videll, who has suffered an injury, at the Kontinental Hockey League's (KHL) All-Star Game, the tournament's organizers announced on Monday, informed LETA.

Due to his injury, Videll will have to skip several matches, including the KHL All-Star Game. The organizers have decided that Darzins will replace Videll and will be added to the Bobrov Divdision's roster.

Darzins has scored 12 goals and made 22 assists in 44 games so far this season, and is the team's third highest-scoring player.

For Darzins, this will be his second appearance at the KHL All-Star Game. He first participated in the match in 2011.

Videll together with Riga Dinamo defensemen Mathew Maione were voted into the Bobrov Division's starting lineup.

The KHL All-Star Game will take place in Russia's Kazan at the end of this week.

Last season, Miks Indrasis represented Riga Dinamo at the KHL All-Star Game.
