Sevastova moves up one spot in WTA rankings

Print versionLatvia's top ranked lady tennis player Anastasija Sevastova has moved up one spot in the latest WTA rankings. informed LETA.
Sevastova is currently ranked 12th in the world.
Meanwhile, Latvia's second-best ranked lady tennis player Alona Ostapenko has stayed put and is currently ranked 22nd in the world.
Both Sevastova and Ostapenko will kick-off their participation in the Australian Open next week.
The only other Latvian tennis player ranked in the top 500 is Diana Marcinkevica - 277th.
Simona Halep (Romania) is ranked first, Angelique Kerber (Germany) is second and Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark) is third in the rankings.
