Latvia beats Belarus at U-20 WC to avoid relegation

Print versionThe Latvian U-20 men's ice hockey team defeated Belarus last
night 3:1 in their final group match at this year's World U-20 Men's Ice Hockey
Championships (Division A) to avoid relegation to Division B, informed
LETA/BNS.
The Latvian team needed a win to avoid relegation.
Daniels Berzins, Niks
Krollis and Viktors Jasunovs
scored the goals for Latvia, which finished in overall fourth place in the
group, while France has been relegated to Division B.
Meanwhile, Germany won the group and will play in the Elite
Division next year.
