Latvian U-20 ice hockey team takes down Austria at WC

Print versionOn Friday, the Latvian under-20 men's ice hockey team defeated Austria 4:1 at the World U-20 Division A Men's Ice Hockey Championships.
Rudolfs Polcs, Daniels Berzins, Harijs Brants and Janis Vizbelis scored the goals for Latvia.
Latvia will play its next match of the tournament today against Germany.
In the group standings at the moment, Belarus is in first place with six points, followed by Germany with five points, Latvia and France with three points a piece, Austria with one point and Norway with zero points.
Only the winner will earn promotion to the Elite Division next year.
As reported, Latvia opened the tournament on Sunday with a loss to France.
