In NHL action on Tuesday, Latvian forward Zemgus Girgensons scored a goal to help his Buffalo Sabres defeat the Los Angeles Kings 4:3, reported LETA. 

Girgensons scored his team's first goal of the match in the 13th minute to tie the score at 1:1.

The Latvian ended the match with a +2 efficiency rating.

So far this season Girgensons has scored three goals and made four assists.

The Sabres currently remain in third place in the NHL's Eastern Conference standings with 40 points from 31 matches, while the Kings are in 14th place in the Western Conference with 24 points from 32 matches.
