Latvian floorball team defeats Slovakia and advances to WC quarters

BC, Riga, 05.12.2018.

- The Latvian men's floorball team today defeated Slovakia 6:1 to advance to the quarterfinals of this year's World Men's Floorball Championships.

Edzus Cerins and Klavs Jansons scored two goals a piece, with Peteris Trekse and Rolands Kovalevskis also scoring for Latvia.

Latvia will now take on tournament favorite Sweden in the quarterfinals.

Latvia failed to advance to the quarterfinals of the World Floorball Championships in Riga two years ago.
