Strong wind on Latvia’s western seacoast to turn into gale tonight

Print versionThe north-northwestern wind that is currently blowing on Latvia’s western seacoast will reach the force of gale tonight, according to weather reports writes LETA.
As the wind gathers strength, its speed will increase to 25-30 meters per second in gusts, which is why the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center has issued the orange warning. The strongest wind is forecast for the morning and first half of Wednesday.
The average wind speed in the Baltic Sea off Latvia’s western coast will reach 21-24 meters per second.
On Wednesday it will be mostly cloudy and rainy, with wet snow and hail also possible in some areas.
Temps will not drop below zero but will not rise above plus 5, plus 10 degrees centigrade
