Latvia defeats Sweden to advance to FIBA U18 Women's European Championship quarterfinals

The Latvian U18 women's basketball team last night defeated Sweden 59:47 (13:10, 14:14, 20:14, 12:9) to advance to FIBA U18 Women's European Championship quarterfinals, reports LETA/BNS.

Nikola Ozola led the Latvian team with 15 points, while Laura Meldere scored 14 points and pulled down 15 rebounds and Aleksa Gulbe had nine points and 11 rebounds.

In the tournament's quarterfinals tonight, Latvia will play Russia that beat Serbia 63:54 on Wednesday.
