Dinamo sign Canadian defenseman Maione

BC, Riga, 18.05.2018.

Latvian ice hockey club Riga Dinamo has signed Canadian defenseman Matthew Maione, the club has informed LETA.

The club has signed the 27-year-old to a one-year deal.

Maione played for Finnish ice hockey club Kuopio KalPa, who scored 15 goals and made 24 assists in 60 Finnish league matches last season.

Maione has also played in the Slovak league, as well as the ECHL in the past.

Dinamo failed to qualify for the Kontinental Ice Hockey League playoffs this past season for the fourth season in a row, finishing with the second worst record in the league.
