Skudra will not remain as head coach of Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo

Latvian specialist Peteris Skudra will not remain as the head coach of Russian ice hockey club Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, the club has informed LETA.

The 45-year-old Skudra, a former NHL goaltender, has been at the helm of the Russian club for the past five seasons.

The Latvian led the club to the Kontinental Ice Hockey League playoffs all five seasons he was at the helm of the club, with his best result in 2016 when he led the club to the Western Conference finals.
