Latvia's Andrejs Rastorgujevs hit all targets in ten-kilometer sprint at Biathlon World Cup event in Russia's Tyumen on Thursday, but that was not enough for a podium finish and Rastorgujevs ended up in fourth place, reports LETA.

Two weeks ago in Finland's Kontiolahti, Rastorgujevs won silver in sprint.

Martin Fourcade of France, the winner of the 2018 Winter Olympics, placed first today. Fourcade also hit all targets and finished an impressive 33.2 seconds ahead of his fellow countryman Simon Desthieux. Sweden's Fredrik Lindstroem finished third, 33.5 seconds behind Fourcade, while Rastorgujevs was just 1.7 seconds slower than Lindstroem.

The Canadian, Czech, Ukrainian and U.S. teams, as well as Sweden's Sebastian Samuelsson who won silver at the 2018 Winter Olympics, have decided to boycott the Biathlon World Cup event in Tyumen.
