Latvian football team plays draw against Faroe Islands

Print versionIn a friendly match in Spain on Thursday, the Latvian football team played a 1:1 draw against the Faroe Islands, informs LETA.
Vladislavs Fjodorovs (69th minute) scored the lone goal for Latvia, which was his first goal for the national team.
Meanwhile, Atli Gregersen (27th minute) scored the lone goal for the Faroe Islands.
On Sunday, the Latvian football team will play another friendly match at Gibraltar.
A the moment, the Latvian football team is ranked 131st in the FIFA rankings, while the Faroe Islands is ranked 97th.
Latvia will play its next competitive matches in June - the bi-annual Baltic Cup tournament.
