Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid and Estonian Prime Minister Juri Ratas with spouses will attend a guest performance of the Estonian National Opera and Ballet Company in Riga on February 27, Estonian Ambassador to Latvia Tonis Nirk said at a news conference on Tuesday, announcing the exchange of guest performances between the Latvian and Estonian national opera and ballet companies, cites LETA/BNS.

The Goblin, a ballet show based on a mythical character from Estonian folklore, will also be attended by Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis and First Lady Iveta Vejone.

On February 28 the Latvian president and his wife as well as Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis and his spouse will go to Tallinn for the Gala Concert of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet Company.

On the same day, the Gala Concert with participation of artists from both national opera companies will take place in Riga, and the Estonian opera performance Cardillac will be shown in Riga on March 1.

The Latvian National Opera and Ballet Company will open its guest performances in Tallinn on February 27 with the ballet Scheherazade and Her Tales and will show the opera Nabucco on March 1.
