Latvian ice hockey team defeats Austria in exhibition tournament

BC, Riga, 16.02.2018.

The Latvian national ice hockey team opened an exhibition tournament in Denmark on Thursday with a 6:1 win over Austria, informs LETA.

Roberts Bukarts scored two goals for Latvia, with Rolands Vigners, Rihards Bukarts, Bruno Zabis and Edgars Kulda scoring a goal a piece.

On Friday Latvia will play France, and on Saturday Latvia will play hosts Denmark.

The Latvian team is currently preparing for the 2018 Ice Hockey World Championships, which will also be played in Denmark.
