Brazil's Christ the Redeemer statue to be lit up in Estonian national colors on Feb. 24
One of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, Christ the
Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, will be lit up in Estonian national colors
on Feb. 24 to celebrate Estonia's centenary, reports LETA/BNS.
"I'm glad to announce that on Estonia's centenary on Feb. 24 the
Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro will be lit up in our national
colors from 7 to 8 p.m.," Estonia's ambassador to Brazil Mart Tarmak wrote
on social media on Thursday.
Tarmak thanked the city government of Rio de Janeiro which made the decision with the organization that takes care of the statue.
Christ the Redeemer is a statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and has been
listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
The statue has also been lit up in the colors of other countries before.
