Latvian ice hockey team scores 5 goals in third period to defeat Belarus

BC, Riga, 10.11.2017.

In the opening game of an exhibition tournament in France on Thursday, the Latvian national men's ice hockey team defeated Belarus 7:5, informs LETA.

Latvia was able to pour in five goals in the final period to pull out the victory.

Rodrigo Abols and Maris Bicevskis scored two goals a piece for Latvia, with Roberts Bukarts, Kristaps Zile and Rihards Bukarts scoring a goal a piece.

Latvia will take on Slovenia today, and will conclude the tournament on Saturday against France.
