Dinamo beats Severstal in OT for the first win at home

Print versionLatvian hockey club Riga Dinamo beat Cherepovets Severstal 3:2 (0:1, 1:1,
1:0, 1:0) at Arena Riga last night to pick the first win at home this season, informs LETA.
Before that, Dinamo had lost all eight home matches. Danny Kristo and
Gunars Skvorcovs scored for Dinamo in regulation time, and Mikelis Redlihs
scored the overtime goal. On the other hand, Yuri Trubachyov and Pavel Chernov
scored the goals for Severstal.
Dinamo remains in last place in the KHL Western Conference and the entire
league with ten points from 23 matches, while Severstal is eighth in the
conference with 33 points after 23 games.
Dinamo will now play Novosibirsk Sibir, Omsk Avangard and Minsk Dinamo at
Arena Riga next week.
