Estonian wrestler Nabi takes silver at World Championships
Estonian wrestler Heiki Nabi won
the silver medal in men's Greco-Roman wrestling in the up to 130 kilogram class
at the World Wrestling Championships in Paris, the daily Postimees writes,
cites LETA/BNS.
With the victory Nabi also secured his sixth title competition medal.
In the final on Tuesday Nabi faced Turkish Riza Kayaalp, two-time world champion and six-time European
champion who also has bronze medal from the Olympic Games in London and a
silver from the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. As Nabi himself is
currently a two-time world champion, winning in 2006 in the up to 96 kilogram
class and in 2013 in the up to 130 kilogram class, the winner of the final will
in any case become a three-time world champion.
Nabi lost to Kayaalp 1-2.
Nabi's opponent in the semi-final was Chilean Yasmani Acosta, who defeated Georgian Levan Arabuli in the quarter-final.
