Other events in Baltic States

Within the cultural mission for advance of Latvia as a cultural center of Northern Europe which is carried out by Fund “Baltic Musical Seasons”, on August 29 in the Latvian National opera will be held the Gala concert of young opera singers from the different countries of the world accompanied by symphonic orchestra of the Latvian National opera (conductor Martinsh Ozolinsh).

All ten young soloists who will step on the stage this day are scholars of fund “SIAA-foundation” from the Principality of Liechtenstein.

The name of the charitable organization from the Principality of Liechtenstein Sic itur ad astra (SIAA) foundation (fund «Thus one goes to the stars!») perfectly corresponds her activity – support and advance of the beginning opera singers and all help to them in professional musical development.

To young opera singers who are ready for opera career with conviction, SIAA-foundation helps through the organization of concerts with prestigious conductors and symphonic orchestras in the world famous concert halls worldwide. Similar gala concerts of scholars were held, for example, on stages of the German opera in Berlin (2015), Mozart's House in Vienna (2016), in the Big hall of the Moscow State Conservatory (2017). In 2016 was held the gala concert of scholars in the program of the known musical festival in Palma de Mayorca "Festival Musica Mallorca". Many former scholars of fund sing on the leading world opera stages, for example, the former scholar the Mexican tenor Diego Silva is invited in the Metropolitan Opera in a season 2016/2017.

Scholars of SIAA-foundation are interesting and perspective young singers and also professionals from the known opera theatres from the different countries of the world. Among participants of a concert there are winners of such known opera competitions as "Operaliya" of Placido Domingo, a competition of the BBC "Cardiff voices" and others. Soloists of various European opera theaters will participate in a gala concert.

Ten young perspective scholars of Fund from the different countries of the world will perform at a gala concert of "Young International Opera Stars" on August 29, 2017 in the Latvian National Opera accompanied by symphonic orchestra of LNO (conductor Martinsh Ozolinsh), which will please the audience with performance of popular opera classics – the famous arias and works of D. Verdi, W.-A. Mozart, V. Bellini, D. Rossini, Zh. Bizet, G. Donizetti, D. Puccini, I. Strauss and other opera classics of the world.
